Down with the System: A Memoir (Of Sorts)
by Serj Tankian
hopeful
informative
reflective
medium-paced
I never know how to write memoirs because I always feel like it is wrong to rate these books, but this book was actually really intriguing and very informative. I’ve always listened to
System Of A Down, so when I heard that Serj came out with a memoir. I jumped at the opportunity. I finally got around to reading it and honestly, I enjoyed myself. I found myself wanting to learn more about what he talks about in the book and it was overall a pleasant time. I did feel like I learned a lot more about him as a person and also about his band and how system of a down came to be and everything that contributes with the band. I felt more connected to them, and it made me appreciate them individually as well.
