Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

4.0

The story of college co-eds Abby/pigeon and Travis Maddox from Travis's POV. The book was good but not awesome. It was great to hear their story as told from his POV. I read Beautiful Disaster when it was initially published and remember the story pretty well. should I have re read it? Maybe. I think I wanted WD so bad therefor it would never be able to live up to my expectations. I hate saying this but I am going to. It just took too long to put out essentially the same story. I have read too many books with alternating POV's within 1 book that it just made it hard for me to love WD.

I have seen a lot people rip on the characters. I am not, I still love them flaws and all. Sure Travis can be a dick, but deep down he is a good guy. You have to understand his story to get him. I am not saying that things he did are right, they just ARE Travis. Abby was a strong pushover, yes that may not make sense to you but it does to me.

The epilogue saved the book for me. To be satisfied I HAVE to know something about their future and Walking Disaster did that beautifully.
