a cute fun read about quinta! i think this is great if you want to get out of a reading slump. it’s pretty chill and written pretty casually; you get to know about quinta herself as well as her musings of the world based on her upbringing and life experiences. i enjoyed listening to the music from the quinta’s classics essays. because it is humorous it is written very casually so it didn’t super impact me emotionally. there are definitely emotional moments but it definitely reads as someone’s debut book if that makes sense. memoirs don’t have to be super emotional necessarily! but i guess the lightheartedness is what keeps me from giving it a 4 instead of a 5; i’m not leaving the book majorly affected. but we stan quinta and we love abbott elementary!!
