This novel taught me that you can declare to the world that you are religious. But it requires constant and consistent effort. You have to be true to your Rabb (god) and be true to yourself. You cannot pick and bend the content of a religious book to suit your (selfish) needs. You cannot lie to your Rabb. He knows everything in your heart. The other thing this novel taught me is that indeed, if you CHOOSE Rabb over your most beloved thing/person. Rabb with bless you with peace and happiness. You have to deliberately put him over everything else and in return he will give you the happiness he planned for you, sometimes even in things you want. But you have to remember to do as he wants in order to have all the peace and happiness. Once you understand this and stick to it, everything sorts itself out. Rather, he (the most merciful) sorts everything out. I hope everyone reads this beautiful novel by one of the most talented authors - Nemrah Ahmed. This novel will push you to think and learn so many aspects of human life.
