While reading this book, I was a little disappointed, though I appreciated the themes, I didn't like the vocab and graphic scenes that left me feeling uncomfortable. I also thought the author writing didn't always convey what she wished to say. I was pleasantly surprised by the book's ending, though.

 
The main message I got out of this book was: If your dog barks/attacks your boyfriend = leave him
