The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis
3.0
I had a quote from this book that was nice, but I lost it. 🙃
I definitely did/would not have appreciated this story as a child, but I think it provides good set up for the next stories. It is a classic, “Adam and Eve”-type story, with temptation and the whole shebang. I probably could have just read the Bible for that, but it’s nice for kids who this type of story appeals to.
Honestly, what I find most interesting about it is that Lewis wrote this sixth, even though it is chronologically first. It was good enough, though, that I do want to continue on reading the series.
