The Caiplie Caves: Poems by Karen Solie
3.0

I am not sure where I found out about this book--a Canadian poet writing about caves on the Fife Coastal Path, Scotland (east coast), centered on a little known seventh-century Irish missionary. I spread the reading over two weeks, but come away with the conclusion that my poetry education is not sophisticated or complex enough to fully appreciate them. I feel like I have been listening to a symphony or opera that has moments of great beauty or pathos but my ears simply are not capable of translating the whole to my mind or heart.
