This was a sassy and sweet romance to kickstart my reading month. It was easy to keep up with Kiki's antics and I thought it was so cool that she and her bestie hosted their own radioshow. The relationship between Kiki and the new resident heartthrob Malakai was sparky and banterous, but also serious in the way it is between two people who just get each other. It's not effortless but with the growing trust, Babalola shows us that someday, it may be.

For me personally, Kiki's narration could get a bit rambly at times and I found myself skimming over her every thought. Overall though this didn't bring down the story.
