The world-building is phenomenal. If you listen to a dune playlist , you get transported to this deserted planet. It also raises some morally relevant questions that can be reviewed through a contemporary lense.

In the end though I felt that the author could not weave all the storylines together strong enough. There were some threads that had me emotionally invested but that kind of flattened out.

I really enjoyed the book overall, especially if you look to dive deep into a different universe.
