"I want to live because life is...is worth it. Because as long as we can imagine a better world, we should stick around to see it. Even if it doesn't exist yet. Even if we have to build it from scratch, brick by muddy brick."

I have a lot to say so I'll just rely on the same old WHAT I LOVED list.
1. I love how Tarisai and Sanjeet's relationship wasn't perfect, on how Sanjeet showed a moment of weakness in standing beside Tarisai and then redeeming himself at the end.
2. The LGBTQIA representation.
3. I love that a new council member got the spotlight here. If Raybearer has Kirah, Redemptor has Ai Ling.
4. Tarisai is flawed. I like how Ifueko showed the main character being the chosen one but proved that she can't do everything alone.
5. The Ojiji were scary but made the story more interesting.
6. The rise of Alagbato here thickens the plot and I'm all for it.
7. Dayo was introduced as a very kind and soft boy in Raybearer but in Redemptor, I saw his brave side.
8. Interesting new characters! Min Ja, queen of Song Land, and Zuri, King of Djbanti.
9. I don't usually like politics in a book but the imperial politics here made me sit back and think.
10. Adukeh, best girl! I love how she stopped Tarisai from healing her because she believed that a voice is useless without a story to tell. Stan!

On another note, I would've preferred it if the book laid out Tarisai's completion of her council first before the rise of Alagbato. I was more excited about the new council than the war and Tarisai's trip to the Underworld. But that's a personal preference so it is still 5 stars for me!
