 This book is marketed as YA, but there are some pretty mature observations on social constructs that make it feel more grown up than some other typical dystopian YA. 

Strong Lord of the Flies X Hunger games vibes with its social casting and the elite using the lower classes for their own personal comforts and gains. 

The plot unfolds a bit slower than I usually enjoy. The first part set in the mines and then the transformation was fast, but the field game went a bit too slow for my personal preference.

I’m not sure yet if I will read the following books…
