Dr Lia A Roth’s ‘Get In or Get Out But Don’t Stay in the Freakin’ Middle’ explores the aftermath of experiencing betrayal, mainly in romantic relationships. Dr Roth provides information many people will be able to relate to, as well as both personal and professional advice to help readers in a mental, emotional, and physical sense. I thought it came across as a bit paranoid at times, but it was genuinely helpful. It spent a lot more time on the post-break up than the pre-break up stage but it seemed helpful nonetheless. I recommend this book because I know it’s easy to get stuck in an unhappy relationship, and how hard it is to get out of it. I hope this book finds someone who needs it. ‘What broke was never meant to hold you together in the first place.’
