It took me a while to finish this but by gods, it’s everything I wanted and more. There’s something enthralling about how Catholic traditions and imageries could be twisted into an epic fantasy world. It is dark, it is jam packed. Along with very likeable characters. The banter is fun, I like the dynamics between the main character and her revenant. I have grown to like their connection. And I love how headstrong the main character is, it’s refreshing how cool-headed she is. I believe there will be more as I see hints of a sequel. Though I expected the climax to be more epic than it is as it did in the beginning.
