4.5

This was an almost a dnf because I wasn’t expecting a lot of the tough opening themes
depression, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempt, infidelity, infertility, and miscarriage.
but it got a lot more hopeful around the 15-20% mark and ended up being really funny. It really attempts to understand the experience of getting through the worst of depression and grieving the life you wanted, having the courage to be yourself, and finding joy in the small interactions with strangers and instant friends. It gives understanding and compassion for everyone going through their own lives in a really beautiful way. The final scene with the bride nearly brought me to tears on my lunch break.
