Well, well.. we meet again tears.

Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog made me all sorts of sad. Don't get me wrong, the book was good but dang - I just got all the feels. Now I mention time to time that I have two dogs. Well, my first dog (which is like their super great (x6) uncle or whatever) and he lived to be about 12-13 years old and was really sick by the end. So when we had to put him down, I was a hot mess (inside) because I knew it was time for him to go.

So after this book, well it's safe to say I was all in those feelings again but instead of holding it in - I balled. Like a baby. Which made me dogs be like.. 'Mom, what's wrong? Did the book hurt you? Do you want kisses? Hey - can you feed me? HEY THERE IS A FLY IN THE HOOOUSE!' and then some.

Just know that I gave them all the love the deserved and then poured myself a nice glass of wine. Man these dog books get to me.
