Rescued by the Buccaneer by Normandie Alleman

Give me a story of a strong willed woman and a notorious pirate and I am intrigued! This is a fast listen, but dangerous, hot and oh so fun! Federica is bound for America when her ship is taken over by pirates. Kidnapped to serve Gaston, the captain , she finds her freshness gets her in loads of trouble. This man stands for no disobedience. Though naive and inexperienced, Gaston finds her willfulness enchanting. But the sea is not for women. What will happen when he realizes her true feelings? And what of his? Pirates are romanticized, their bad boy ways bring out the want in women. I love how Normandie Alleman gives us this man, who is strong, in charge and bends at the will of a woman! It's a fun filled adventure, with a little spanking, a lot of steamy passion and a couple to fall in love with.

Alleman's choice of Piers Ryman as the narrator is spot on. He has a fantastic voice for this type of story. His growlie voice is exactly as I imagine Gaston to be, with a tone to make you do as he says! I loved his performance and hope he continues the series.
