Generally enjoyed the book. Loved the framing device of the ghost, Blanca. I wish George, Chopin, and her family had more full bodied characterizations, it felt light at times. But maybe that’s because so much is through Blanca’s perspective. I enjoyed the writing for the most part, but sometimes some phrasing or how someone would talk was too modern. But overall, very good. Got me out of a bit of a reading slump, I’m glad I read it.
Moderate: Pregnancy
Minor: Adult/minor relationship
