Night Chills by Dean Koontz
4.0

This was a really interesting concept, and an amazingly written plot. I really enjoyed the characters (mostly) and if the lock and key theory was real and could be used on me, I’d forget this book and read it all over again..

The people in the town of Black River, ever since the sighting of two men in the mill’s water supply, have been acting increasingly odd, with no straight forward reason why. Glenn drove straight into a wall at 100mph, Alice stuck herself to a wooden board by driving a fork through her hand etc.
Paul Annendale and his children Mark and Rya visit every year, and after the family comes to face to face with the chief of police’s inexplicable actions, they are determined to get to the bottom of this. Why is this happening? Who were the men in the mill, and why, days before did the entire town come down with a case of Night Chills..
