This one was good. I like the character development. How Cole becomes lighter, while Mara becomes darker. They do say revenge is sweet. Also, who doesn’t love a HEA? Or a
HEA in dark romance terms.
This Dark Romance is book 2 in the Sinners Duet. The romance in this book becomes more established as both characters grow more into themselves, and their relationship. Like in the previous book this one is also spicy, with spicy scenes, language, topics, and innuendos. The book moves at a steady pace following Cole, and Mara as they make a decision on how to protect themselves against Shaw. Meanwhile the clock is ticking as it’s only a matter of time before Shaw decides to strike again. Mara brings a lot of her past trauma to the surface with Coles help. This in turn changes them both. This book is darker, and really focuses on the back stories of the characters. This makes this book full of character development, as well as suspenseful with the mystery surrounding Shaws actions. It makes the book intriguing and enjoyable.
