Set on You
by Amy Lea
Crystal is at the gym doing her thing when this uncouth, albeit sexy man, tries to creep in on the equipment she is clearly about to use. This means war...
There are some things I enjoyed (Scott, the body positivity for Crystal, her self-confidence, her relationship with her family) and others I didn't (her immaturity, all of the jumping to conclusions, her lusty hatred for Scott). The cover and premise were so much more appealing. I think I would have enjoyed seeing more from Scott's perspective.
As an avid audiobook fan, it breaks my heart a little bit to not enjoy the format. The narrator, Carolyn Kang, gave off an added level of immaturity. I think her voice would be more suited to a young adult or middle grade work.
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the advanced copy and PRHA for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.
