Time Is a Mother by Ocean Vuong

Did not finish book. Stopped at 9%.

This is the first time I've read poetry since high school. Each poem presented difficulties but I persevered (or at least it felt like it) for the sake of reading what I thought was a very accomplished author. But I could not get past the structure, the unnecessary and often laughable sexual references. Not for me, I just did not get it.
