I’m underwhelmed by the ending and how the threads set in previous books were brought together. I loved the devastating twists in this book but I wanted more. It wasn’t as tragic as I was anticipating.
I didn’t like the open door romance scenes and sexual content (consistent with other books) including the gross preference for underage girls set in the world. I also did not like the torture aspect of the book. It was too dark for my taste.
This trilogy is first and foremost a generational family story and I can’t say I liked that. I found too many characters unlikable especially the Pillars.
Overall Rating: 3.5/5.
TW: violence, death, sexual content (M/F, M/M), cursing, drugs, alcohol, kidnapping, torture, infidelity
