The story was pretty good, BUT the math explanations which were clearly intended for literal mathematicians, which went on for literal pages just stretched the book unnecessarily since most of it didn't add anything to the plot. also the main character describing every woman he meets measured by their breasts just made me so uncomfortable. we get it, you're horny. but why make him jealous of a like 60 y.o. professor who has a father role in a woman's life? at that point I wanted to throw up, it's so sexualising.
(btw, this only gets worse in book 2, most female characters are just there as love interests)
