I am not sure that I would classify this as a 'mystery', although there is a journey of discovery. Overall, this novel felt like a loving reflection about Puerto Rico and family. I appreciate the intersecting, opposite timelines which felt like a beautiful format to tell the story of a daughter-father relationship.
