An eye-opening, educational memoir about life in North Korea. A devastating story all the way through, though amazingly the author manages some tension-relieving and almost amusing takes on his some of his unimaginable circumstances, which make it easier to get through. I think it's an extremely important look at North Korea, especially for those (like me) that don't know much about its history -- and especially now as Kim Jong Un is being given a place on the world stage.
