Fun, dark but not as dark and haunting as I expected. I felt the author could have gone darker with the bullying-trope, dark past of the main characters, strengthened the side characters, and missed an opportunity to make the MMC bi and finding a second love after his first was killed. Would have strengthened the story. The ending battle felt rushed and the epilogue was a little too “happily ever after” for me. Buttttt fun world, the FMC was badass and we love a man down bad.
