Frieda is an auto-buy author for me! Her writing style and the way she keeps you guessing literally until the last second in every book is *chefs kiss*!

I read this book in under two days, but could have easily devoured it in just a few hours had life not intervened. It’s a short read packed full of suspense and excitement.

I felt like I was within Ward D guessing who I should and should not trust the entire time. I felt like the book was very descriptive and somewhat true to a psychiatric unit which I appreciate. I want to note a specific part in the book… a doctor described someone as a schizophrenic and was corrected to say the human being is someone with schizophrenia. After all, we are all people, whether we have a disability or not. I think this is super important when talking about mental health (or any disability) and loved that it was mentioned in the book.

Thank you to Frieda McFadden and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
