Really enjoyed this! It’s very different from the Netflix show- which is what lead me to the book- but I ended up liking the book’s plot a lot more! The two are really nothing alike. None of the characters are similar to their counterparts, but there are definitely a few parts (very few) in the book that carried over to the show.
I was worried that there would be too much legal jargon, but the author made it very easy to understand. The show seemed to focus much more on romance than the race and gender aspect of Ingrid’s experience.
My anger built up along with Ingrid’s and I wanted to scream at several parts during the book. I liked the ending a lot and would absolutely read another book by this author.
