These little books are so important to introducing children to literature. Classic works are taken and boiled down to their essence, then relayed in a way that is easily understandable to children. At the same time, they are designed to peak interest in the original text. I know that's how they worked for me. I read these as a young girl and then later, when I was intellectually ready, I really wanted to read the actual novel.

Genius!
