I was expecting more magic/talking-to-my-bff-from-the-dead trope. I needed more background on the friendship with Joelle so I could sympathize with the character, I wanted more descriptions of the dates she went on, and how DID the app get on her phone? Maybe more background on Joelle’s tech skills?? Just..more.
