What We Don't Talk About by Charlot Kristensen

5.0

What is this book about?
What We Don’t Talk About by Charlot Kristensen follows Adam and Farai, an interracial couple that has been together for two years. Farai has finally convinced Adam to introduce her to his parents but during their initial meeting, Adam’s family makes many racist remarks and Adam tries to play it down. Following that, Farai has to decide whether she can be with a man whose family does not accept her.

Overall Thoughts:
While this graphic novel explored and examined themes of race, bigotry, racism and the difficulties interracial couples face, the art style was a bit generic and could have been better. 4.5/5
