Trafficked by Sophie Hayes

2.0

I liked the book, even though I got frustrated with Sophie for her choices and the way she treated the people who TRULY cared for her. Her story though is not one that I would generally call "Trafficking". Maybe being "Trafficked" encompasses more than I think of when I think of it though. To me, I just saw this as an abusive relationship. An evil man who saw a vulnerable woman and knew how to make her feel horrible about herself and was able to control her and make her do whatever he wanted. He was only doing this with one person. He truly sounded like he had major mental issues on top of being an abusive person. I found it fascinating that he befriended her and was friends with her for FOUR years before the opportunity came up for this to happen, and in all that time, no hint of what type of person he truly was?
I really got upset at the way she treated Erion. He seemed like such a great man! It would've been exhausting to be in a relationship with her when she was so negative all the time. Her story though kept my attention and I got through this book in three days.
