I really enjoyed this book. I loved the structure, with multiple story lines and perspectives weaving around each other, and going back and forward in time. The effect is to enhance the sense of disorientation of Area X, the feeling of not knowing what is real and what is hallucination. The book wraps up the story lines fairly well, while still leaving the reader plenty of room to theorize about just what is going on in Area X and with the Southern Reach.
