Kid
by Jescie Hall
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again - I am a complete sucker for a man obsessed, and Kid was a man OBSESSED. Better yet, a man ADDICTED.
This book deals with so many heavy topics, and it was all so beautifully tragic.
Although he has some demons, Kid has such a golden retriever personality. I love his playfulness with Cole, the way he respects Hawke, and especially the way he loves and cares for Han.
The tragedy Han experienced was heartbreaking. I don’t blame the woman for coping the way she did.
The only thing I did not like about this book is that it is filled with fluff. And by fluff I mean long bouts of pretty words. Kid is constantly going into inner monologues. I felt a lot of it was repetitive, so I started skipping them towards the end.
