It's very slow, it evokes disturbing imagery, it's eerie. World building is somewhat lacking, although it makes sense as the book follows protagonist in his job in the slaughtering business. This is not about love. As some might believe, or mistake it for.
Immersive, very descriptive, overall good book. Rises questions of morality, makes you think. Had great impact on me, but some of it is due to shock value.
