The Loyal Wife by Natalie Barelli

3.0

If this book hasn't been made into a Lifetime movie yet... Lifetime is doing something wrong.

Tamra is the perfect wife... She is beautiful, classy, intelligent, and loyal. Her husband, Mike, is your run of the mill handsomely wealthy politician. So it is little surprise that he has had affairs in the past. As devastated as Tamra was back then, she found it in her heart to forgive him and keep the relationship afloat. However, when she suspects that Mike is having another 'secret office affair' her only feeling is rage. She decides that this "perfect" man deserves to be outed for the liar he is. Luckily, she knows his deepest secret. A secret so unspeakable that Mike doesn't even know that Tamra knows! In fact, she assisted in it by "cleaning up". When the reporter, Tamra is working with, publishes the story... Tamra's life is instantly flipped upside down. Betrayal, deception, and lies seem to be a character trait in every single relationship she has. Did Mike deserve the consequences? Could Tamra be so blindly in love that she didn't see who Mike really was?

I enjoyed this Barelli story a lot more than "Missing Molly". Sure, each character was as cliché as humanly possible. Have you 100% seen the same type of theme in every Lifetime movie? TOTALLY. But that doesn't stop this story from being completely addictive. Not only did it involve secrets, affairs, and backstabbing,,, but I was also completely caught off guard by the ending! I think this is a great quick rainy day read!
