The start was way too slow for me. It picked up in the middle but fizzled out towards the end for me.
Overall I think it was more my own stubbornness that made me finish it. I was disappointed with the characters. They felt very flat to me. I expected some decent level of building to all of the Nowhere house cast, which I don't think is a high expectation. The kids were especially cardboard. I was so excited for some bonding, but that never really happened. Conflict was unnecessary and always resolved so easily and pleasantly. Very plot convenient. Overall that made it feel like there was very little real tension or connection present. So sadly I expected something else.
