The Fall by Guillermo del Toro

3.0

I'm not sure if it's just me, but middle books of a trilogy always seem to be the weakest of the novels. But in this case I don't think The Fall by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan falls into that trap. This middle novel in "The Strain" trilogy does move the novel forward. Several major characters die and the story takes a surprising turn. I'm looking forward to seeing how Mr. del Toro and Mr. Hogan write themselves out of the ending. I'm not sure humanity will win this fight in the end.
