All of the terror and lyricism of Station Eleven, but much more focused on the reality of the human condition, less on the aestheticisms of memory. Less a meditation and more a prediction - and so truly haunting. The middle of the book sagged at times, but it certainly delivered in the end. This is not a plot driven book. It is real. It is everywhere around you. And it is somehow, as well as putrid and frightening - really, really funny.

I have read this book twice. On my second read through, it resonated more, and I changed my rating to reflect this.
