I can't believe how much I liked this book. I don't normally go for mafia romance but this series so far has been very different. It's refreshing to have two leads who are so mature and clear in their love for each other. Even though Mikhail is the Butcher, he's so sweet with Lena and Bianca. There's no third act break up, no weird misogynistic shit, no terrible internal monologues questioning how the other could possibly love them. Mikhail is concerned because of his scars but that is to be expected and wasn't even that drawn out.
The only thing I wish was different was when he told her about the roses. I think that was a lovely plot point that didn't deserve to be the epilogue.
