As a woman parts of this book made me so angry, especially because those parts are still relevant today and this book is set in the 1960’s. There was a lot of trauma going on in this one so be warned. That said I love the found family in this book. I ended up liking pretty much all of the characters as well. Some of the storylines I found very predictable but I still enjoyed it. The writing style was not my favorite with so many breaks. At the start it sometimes felt a little jumbled before I got used to the style. I did like it being written in third person omniscient because it added so much to the story that way.
