Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill
5.0
I am loving this series. The character, Merit, is one I can relate to on a personality level and I find her fun to read about. I also like the tension between her and Ethan, it's so palpable it jumps off the page. It's been awhile since I've read a vampire series and I'm discovering how much I've missed it through reading these books.
I'm more than a little leery of the Red Guard and find myself hoping Merit chooses to stay clear of them in the future. I was also enamored of Gabriel, he's a flirt but absolutely seems devoted to his wife and I like that. I'm still not sure about Nick, but hopeful that Merit can regain a friendship with him.
There is so much going on and so many relationships and things working and moving within each book, I'm finding them immensely enjoyable and will definitely continue to read them. I think people who have ever loved a vampire series, whether it was Twilight, Morganville Vampires, or even a more adult series, will enjoy these books.
