The blurb for this book is so deceptive. I had avoided it thinking it would be heavy on the grocery store event, but that situation took sort of a back seat. This is a coming of age story for Emira, but also a pulling back the curtain on "Great White Hopes" journey as well. The plot was relatively captivating, and I enjoyed the writing style. I would read more by this author.
