This dual-story line set in a boarding school reminded me how much I enjoy a good boarding school tale. The present day storyline follows Eva, a new student desperate to fit in. Her invitation to join a secret society called The Five, is exactly what she needs. Meanwhile, the second storyline follows the story of 6 students who participate in a bizarre social experiment that ended badly. The two timelines slowing begin to connect as Eva realizes there’s more to the Five than she originally thought. Well-paced and engaging, if slightly unbelievable-suspend your disbelief and enjoy the story.
