This book was very sweet but it felt like it was trying too much in not enough time. This is a book where I wished we didn't have Roman's POV so we were just as much in the dark as Iris. This would have given more space for the

war correspondance arc

cause I felt like that just didn't hit off.

We only got to see one time at the front and that's really it. I felt like we could have had more shocking reveals there but it just felt rushed. Also did not enjoy the way it ended. I would have preferred a bad end then oh her brother shows up out of no where and is a dick to her husband? I didn't like that.

Other then that it had sweet moments and some tense ones. It just didn't connect to me enough to give it 5 stars. It was fine for what it was.
