I remember when I discovered Swipe Right For Murder. I was just getting really into Bookstagram. I saw it on someone’s page and fell in love with it immediately. So of course when @storygramtours hosted a giveaway for it, I jumped at the chance. I had been obsessed for weeks. I can’t tell you how many times my family told me to stop talking about the book. They were so happy when I told them that I had won it in a giveaway. Finally I’d get my hands on it and would be able to absorb every page. I had such high hopes for this book.
Thankfully, the book didn’t disappoint. I wanted to spend 80% of my free time reading it and didn’t want to put it down when I had to get back to work. I found the characters to be charismatic and especially enjoyed Aiden. While I do agree that it is kind of inhuman for the politicians to be anti-LGBTQ+, I found it difficult to sympathize with Scotty. Though, to be fair, I don’t have a mean bone in my body. I also found it difficult to instill my trust into the FBI Agents and Shiloh. Aiden was more or less on his own. I’m glad he seems to be better than he had been. Aiden needed to get some professional help, for the sake of his mental health.
However, while I loved this book, at times I did feel as though it dragged on. Maybe it’s the political side of things, as I’m not very informed on such things. Maybe it was some of the characters. I’m unsure of what threw me off. I would still 100% recommend this book.
