Read this book. Chuck Wendig has tapped into something that makes his characters and world of each book feel real. Part of it is definitely his writing style, his fully realized characters and their struggles, but also the way Wendig manages to examine the human condition down to its bones. The story is raw, unsettling, timely, and at times so very funny.
My only complaints that keep it from getting a full 5 stars are these:the book ends rather abruptly, with no closure on the overall plotline. The resolution to the main chunk of the story is rather strange, like Wendig was in a rush to wrap up some of the character arcs.
overall, I loved the book and thought the audiobook narration from Amber Benson, Xe Sands and Jay Myers is excellent.
