The narrative and descriptions of life in poverty in India are accurate and compelling though depressing. Several separate life story lines merge in surprising ways; made me want to read the whole thing again to keep track of the stories. The narration by John Lee is excellent. He's able to convincingly and flawlessly narrate conversations among multiple Indian voices.
