The Black Moth by Georgette Heyer

3.0

Georgette Heyer's first novel will be of interest mostly to established fans. This is not great writing, nor are the plot lines anything more than teenage fantasy. If it weren't Heyer, I'd give the book two stars, but since it is, I tacked on an extra star because as a fan of her later work, it's interesting to see where she started from.

If you are encountering Heyer for the first time, do yourself a favor and start with one of her later books, like Sylvester.
