David Copperfield by Charles Dickens

What a ride of a novel. Reading this feels like one of those very long days. The ones that you remember what you did that morning, but it feels like it was yesterday, or two days ago? As Dickens wrapped all of his storylines at the end I kept thinking, oh, yeah! That happened in this novel! Especially when he would bring up Mr. Murdstone aka pure evil.
The middle dragged a bit but Dickens’ writing, as usual, is so beautiful and surprising and funny that I can’t blame him for going on and on. Things picked up again around 3/4 of the way and the ending was totally satisfying.
I love his unique characters and the narrator of this audiobook did a fantastic job with all the voices and accents. I think my favorite part might have been the donkeys.
